Social Magazine Highlights Our Collaboration with Fulcrum Construction on a Coastal Southern Home with New England Influence
The 2025 Baldwin County Home Builders Association Parade of Homes Showcase Home in Olde Towne Daphne is a 7,000-square-foot residence that blends New England charm with Southern coastal tradition. Designed by Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects and built by Fulcrum Residential, the home reflects the backgrounds of homeowners Jake and Jillian Wallace—combining Cape Cod influence with Mobile Bay character.
The exterior features cedar shake siding, six-over-one windows, louvered shutters, and deep porches, creating a timeless coastal look rooted in both regions. Inside, arched openings, coffered ceilings, warm wood floors, and soft textures offer an elegant yet welcoming feel.
Architect Ryan Baker centered the design on uniting shared architectural elements from New England and the South so the home would feel natural on Captain O’Neal Drive. Fulcrum Residential’s integrated approach—including in-house millwork and on-site civil and earthwork teams—allowed the complex home to be completed in under twelve months.
For the Wallaces, the finished home is a reflection of their stories and a place to build lasting family memories.
