Melissa, a Fairhope native, is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Architecture. As a Senior Associate at Walcott Adams Verneuille (WAV), she has gained experience with a broad range of project types, including commercial, healthcare, master-planning, and multi-family design.
Beyond her professional work, Melissa lives on a small farm with her husband, Brian, and their daughter, Abby. She enjoys an agricultural lifestyle, spending her free time gardening, working on home projects, and raising goats and chickens. Her family loves the outdoors and often goes camping in their restored 1967 Airstream.
Melissa is deeply committed to her community, actively volunteering with the Baldwin County 4-H program and sharing her love for agriculture with local children. She is also a founding member and the current president of the Barnwell Community Organization, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to preserving the area's rural heritage. The organization is currently focused on restoring the historic 1918 wooden schoolhouse, which serves as a community center.
