| Local Architects Win Citizen Award December 20, 2009 Real Estate Briefs Local architects have received the Citizen Architect award from the American Institute of Architects. The architects are recognized for serving their communities on local, state and federal issues, and enhancing the area's quality of life. The honorees and the boards they serve include L. Craig Roberts, Michael Mayberry, Tom Karwinski and David Barr, the city of Mobile's Architectural Review Board; Nick H. Holmes III, the Mobile Historic Development Commission and the Mobile Planning Commission; David Tharp, MHDC; Douglas B. Kearley, MHDC and the Historic Mobile Preservation Society; Linda G. Snapp, city of Mobile's Code Advisory Committee; and Mac Walcott of Fairhope, the Alabama Architectural Registration Board. |
