The owners of the new Windmill Market in Fairhope want to make a statement, when the market opens on October 3rd. They are holding a contest for artists to design a mural for the back wall of the market. The wall is 10x18 feet, but you don't have to be an experienced muralist to enter. Using technology, the winning sketch will be transposed on the wall.

The Windmill Market is an open-air, environmentally friendly market on the corner of Bancroft and Equality Streets. It will feature locally grown and made products. It will be open on the weekends starting October 3rd. Look for fresh produce, local pieces of art, and countless hand-made items from across the Gulf Coast. Booths are available to rent.

In the mural contest, the first place winner will receive $900, second place $250, and third place $150, among other prizes. The deadline to submit your entry is September 23rd.
